Spirituality Series at St George's Cathedral Centre for Spirituality

In 2019 I gave a talk about 20th Century Spirituality. By the lives and writings of three 20th century mystics I sketched how the inner journeys are the source and growing fields of outwards actions of compassion and humanity. We looked at similarities in the journeys of three people who couldn't be more different from the outside: Thomas Merton, Dag Hammarskjöld and Etty Hillesum. 

In 2020 I kicked of the new year series about The Kingdom of God. The title of my talk was: Jesus of Nazareth: The Treasure of the Kingdom of God. In the talk the focus was on our personal and inner kingdom, related to the personality of Jesus of Nazareth and coming from our deepest self, our souls in dialogue with the divine guide. 

In 2021 The talk was about the Dutch mystic Etty Hillesum

In 2022 The topic was on the Female Divine in Thomas Merton's famous poem, Hagia Sophia.
